STATEMENT OF ACAP CEO MARGARET A. MURRAY
ON ANNOUNCED ENHANCEMENTS TO MEDICARE PLAN FINDER FOR DUALLY ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS

WASHINGTON—Margaret A. Murray, CEO of the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP), issued the following statement in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) recently announced enhancements to Medicare Plan Finder:

“We are pleased that CMS’s updates to Medicare Plan Finder will improve the platform’s accuracy and usefulness by making it easier for beneficiaries to understand their D-SNP plan options and view their actual Part B premium costs. These improvements will help individuals more easily explore and compare Medicare coverage options.

“Improved transparency will support all Medicare beneficiaries, including dually eligible individuals, and their caregivers in making better informed decisions about their health care and coverage.

“We commend CMS for taking these steps and look forward to continued dialogue with the Administration to further improve Medicare Plan Finder as a tool for beneficiary choice.”
