ACAP Comment Letter on Dual Draft Legislation
On June 30, ACAP submitted its comment letter to Senators Cassidy (R-LA), Warner (D-VA), Carper (D-DE), Cornyn (R-TX), Scott (R-SC), and Menendez (D-NJ) to inform on the best possible policy for
beneficiaries dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
Key comments and recommendations include:
- A recommendation that the legislation should clarify and specify that the Integrated Care Plans (ICPs) are D-SNPs with improved Medicare and Medicaid integration and coordination components.
- Support of 12-month continuous eligibility for dually eligible individuals
- Support of the expansion of the frailty adjuster to all D-SNPs
