Enrollment Coalition: Comment Letter on Recommendations for H.R. 1 Implementation
On August 20, ACAP joined the Enrollment Coalition in a comment letter to CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz providing recommendations for implementation of the H.R. 1 reconciliation bill to ensure eligible Medicaid enrollees are able to keep their coverage. The letter includes 10 recommendations for CMS, including that CMS develop clear requirements for states, and provide financial and technical assistance to states so they can implement H.R. 1 in ways that minimize coverage losses among eligible individuals. The letter also recommends that states be offered flexibilities, while incorporating lessons learned from the COVID-19 continuous enrollment unwinding.
