ACAP Letter to Senate Leadership on Budget Bill Reconciliation Changes
sent via Email
Dear Majority Leader Thune, Minority Leader Schumer, Chairman Crapo, and Ranking Member Wyden,
The Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) writes to you on behalf of our 85 not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plan (SNHP) members and the 30 million people they serve through Medicaid, Medicare Special Needs Plans for dually-eligible individuals, the Marketplace, and other publicly-supported coverage programs. We thank you for the opportunity to respond to Title VII, Subtitle B, Chapters 1-Medicaid and 2-Health Tax and Title VIII of the reconciliation legislation.
To that end, our comments represent our plans’ commitment to ensuring strong and well-functioning coverage programs that work well not only for people who are enrolled, but also for the states, providers, and health plans that operate them.
