ACAP Letter to CMS on Medicaid Funding Proposed Rule
On July 11, ACAP submitted its comment letter to CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz on the Preserving Medicaid Funding for Vulnerable Populations-Closing a Health Care-Related Tax Loophole Proposed Rule (RIN 0938-AV58).
In the letter, ACAP urged CMS to withdraw the proposed rule in light of the recent passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), which includes a similar provision. ACAP recommended that CMS delay regulatory action, issue a new proposed rule aligned with the legislation, and allow a full three-year transition period for states to ease administrative and financial burdens.
