ACAP Joins Keep Americans Covered Letter Urging Extension of Enhanced Health Care Tax Credits
On July 24, ACAP joined the Keep Americans Covered (KAC) coalition in a letter to Congressional leadership urging immediate action to extend the enhanced health care tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of 2025.
The letter warns that failure to act will trigger a major cost-of-living crisis for over 20 million Americans, significantly increasing monthly insurance premiums for families and older adults. It also emphasizes the urgency of the issue, noting that premium notices and open enrollment begin soon.
KAC calls for Congress to include the extension in the upcoming government funding package due September 30.
