ACAP ELECTS NEW SLATE OF DIRECTORS

WASHINGTON — The Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) announced the election of several health plan leaders to its Board of Directors.

The board election took place in advance of ACAP’s annual CEO Summit. Board members are elected by ACAP’s Membership Council, which comprises representatives from each of its member Safety Net Health Plans. Although not all positions were subject to election in this cycle, the organization elected several new leaders to its Board.

Leanne Berge, CEO of Community Health Plan of Washington, was re-elected to a second term as Board chair.

Sylvia Kelly, CEO of Community Health Network of Connecticut, was elected vice-chair of the organization; she has previously served on the Board in several roles, most recently Secretary and Treasurer.

Marina Owen, CEO of CenCal Health (Calif.), was elected Secretary; she maintains her role as chair of ACAP’s Quality and Operations Committee.

Theresa Scepanski, CEO of Community First Health Plans was elected Treasurer.

The Membership Council also installed four new chairs of its operating committees:

Brendan Harris, president of UMPC for You (Pa.) as chair of its Medicaid Policy Committee; David Wagner, president and CEO of Elderplan/Homefirst (N.Y.), as chair of its Medicare and MLTSS Committee; Annie Lee, CEO of Colorado Access, as chair of its Marketplace Committee; and Rob Robinson, CEO of Alliance Health (N.C.) as President of its Strategic Communications Committee.
