ACAP Fact Sheet: Protect Federal Medicaid Funding and Coverage
As ACAP and its member plans continue their advocacy urging all Members of Congress to protect Medicaid and the patients, providers, and hospitals that rely on it, we developed this fact sheet to support those efforts.
Medicaid covers nearly 80 million Americans, including children, mothers, people with disabilities, and working adults with low incomes. It supports working families, sustains providers like rural hospitals, and strengthens local economies. Cuts to federal Medicaid funding would force states to raise taxes or reduce other vital services. ACAP urges Congress to work with stakeholders to keep Medicaid strong.
