Sign-On Letter: Request for HHS Guidance on Change Healthcare Breach Notifications
ACAP signed on to a letter alongside the Alliance of Community Health Plans, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, thanking HHS for its strong leadership in resolving the myriad of challenges the healthcare system has faced following the Change Healthcare cyber attack.
The letter requests guidance on breach notification responsibilities, and shares support that only Change has an obligation to perform notifications in this context. That clarity would avoid tens of millions of Americans being inundated with notices.
