Vice President, Sales

Role and Responsibility:
•Develop and deploy consistent sales strategies for Marketplace and Medicare lines of business across all of the CareSource markets
•Build, direct and manage captive sales and broker organizations
•Ensure consistent, profitable revenue, membership and earnings growth
•Identify objectives, strategies and action plans which will result in high levels of sales success
•Develop retention strategies to minimize turnover of consumers
•Develop and coordinate sales training and development activities that will enable sales team members to achieve their potential and support CareSource sales objectives
•In collaboration with Human Resources, develop and administer sales compensation and incentive programs that will motivate and reward sales staff
•Direct the sales planning function, which includes an analysis of competitive products and sales techniques, consumer research, and developing the sales budget and goals
•Provide input to Market and Product leadership on product design or enhancements to improve consumer retention and/or sales potential
•Works in conjunction with marketing to promote sales and sales efforts
•Establish and maintain effective metrics for sales performance; to include implementation and adoption of a productivity measurement system and responsibility for associated productivity reporting and analysis
•Build, maintain and improve all structure and processes necessary to assure impeccable regulatory record, achievement of goals and consistency from market-to-market and product-to-product
•Perform any other job related instructions, as requested

Education / Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
•Master’s Degree is preferred
•A minimum of ten (10) years of successful sales experience in a health insurance environment is required
•A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a successful sales organization is required
•Medicare and Exchange sales experience is preferred

Licensure / Certification:

Working Conditions:
•General office environment; may be required to sit/stand for long periods of time
•Travel to various markets/office locations may be required – estimated at 25%
