Vice President, Provider Networks

Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) seeks an experienced executive to serve as its next Vice President, Provider Networks (VPPN). This is a crucial position in the organization and requires a seasoned and charismatic executive who can build a team and program for managing a robust provider base and contracting strategy. In addition, this individual is responsible for creating a strong analytics and regulatory reporting function.

HPSI has experienced extraordinary growth during the past 6 years nearly doubling in size.

The primary responsibility of the VPPN is leading the strategic management of the provider network and contract negotiations with providers to effect cost while ensuring high quality service provision. As an integral member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VPPN will also have responsibility to develop, maintain, and strengthen HPSJ’s provider relationships to achieve strategic growth and high-quality, cost-effective care and services for the members.

The ideal candidate will have held increasingly responsible leadership positions in healthcare and/or insurance setting, which includes oversight of network development, contracting, and provider services/operations. Leadership experience in a health plan, ideally with Medi-Cal or Medicaid experience is ideal.
