This position leads Gateway Health Plan, a managed care organization for both Medicaid and Medicare dual eligible recipients. The incumbent will drive a culture the supports both the mission and members of the organization. Through effective medical management the organization will drive population health initiatives to improve the communities served.
This successful candidate provides the strategic direction, expansion, administration and performance of Gateway Health Plan in its entirety, including both Medicare duals and Medicaid recipients. In addition, is accountable for all operational activities in support of partnership business (Delaware and WV). The incumbent is accountable for providing executive direction and leadership to all organizational departments including marketing, strategic planning, provider relations and contracting, network development, medical management, health services, human resources, quality improvement, credentialing, pharmacy, member services, information systems, systems administration, compliance, enrollment, Medicare, project management, public relations, provider services, legal claims, internal audit, special investigations, business development, informatics, government relations, regulatory and finance. The incumbent has full fiduciary responsibility for the Health Plan and must ensure both the financial performance and membership growth, while maintaining the integrity, quality and accountability of the HMO to the public it serves.
Gateway Health Plan is a Limited Partnership with the following partners: Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Trinity Health System/Mercy Health Plan. The President & CEO must function as a prime communicator and facilitator to ensure adequate/appropriate communications among the general partners. The incumbent must manage the general partners’ objectives, recognizing the diverse interests of the partners. The individual must possess compassion and understanding, with a commitment to the Medicaid and Medicare populations being served, recognizing each population’s unique social and economic challenges.Position Description »
