Community Relations and Marketing Director

Responsible for providing strategic oversight in implementing, directing and monitoring the organizations communications functions, both internal and external. This position serves on boards, committees and networks with partner agencies within the community. Responsible for the CenCal Health’s branding efforts in print, website and intranet, creation of advertising materials, media relations and social platforms. Engages in public speaking to educate community partners. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

• Bachelor of Science/Administration, Communications or Marketing with a minimum of five years professional experience in marketing and communications
• Five to seven years of management level experience performing communications, public relations or community engagement actives for a managed care, health care or health policy organization or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of the California Medi-Cal program and the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo medical community preferred;
• Must have excellent leadership and communications skills.
