Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary:
Provide supervision of day-to-day functions of accounting staff. Oversee the preparation of reports, balance sheets and income statement. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory standards. Ongoing monitoring of assigned department performance standards regarding timeliness, appropriateness, and cost effectiveness. Is the recognized resource of the department for problem-solving.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, health care.
Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role for a staff of five or more members leading or assisting in all phases of effective supervision (i.e., Recruitment, performance management, training)
Two (2) years’ experience in progressively more responsible accounting roles
Preferred:
Experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO and Managed Care functions (e.g., accounting/finance, reinsurance, EDI, marketing, administration, medical delivery, regulatory compliance, claims processing, membership/eligibility, contracting and risk arrangements and actuarial precepts)
Experience developing and presenting training materials.
