Partnership for Medicaid

ACAP is an active member of the Partnership for Medicaid, a nonpartisan, nationwide coalition of organizations representing doctors, health care providers, safety net health plans, counties and labor. The goal of the coalition is to protect Medicaid while improving the program for low-income individuals. The Partnership for Medicaid seeks to raise awareness about the vital role played by the Medicaid program, which provides essential health care services to more than 51 million people.

By working in a bipartisan manner with all levels of government and affected constituency groups, it seeks to provide viable solutions to improving the quality and delivery of services, with the aim of constraining costs without undermining the program’s fundamental goals. Above all, the Partnership for Medicaid is a unified voice to ensure that Medicaid continues its crucial role as a strong safety net for vulnerable Americans.

"Keep Medicaid Strong" campaign
During the summer and fall of 2011, ACAP worked with its partners in the Partnership for Medicaid on an advertising campaign that called upon Congress to avoid broad-based cuts to Medicaid that would threaten improvements to the efficacy and efficiency of this vital safety net program.

A print ad ran in Roll Call and Congressional Quarterly; the Partnership also aired radio spots on stations in the D.C. area.
